• Series: NEXT30
Success is succession. “One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.” — Psalm 145:4 “O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.” — Psalm 71-17-18 We must do whatever it takes to reach the next generation for Jesus. “O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds. So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to another generation, your power to all those to come.” — Psalm 71:17-18 I will only be successful in life if I hand off my faith to the next generation. 1. God is a generational God. It is the duty of every believer to point the next generation to Jesus. “One generation shall praise Your works to another…” — Psalm 145:4 “He will be remembered throughout all generations.” — Psalm 45:17 2. God creates in us a generational people. God’s primary vehicle is the parents. Being the primary disciple-maker in the home is not about living a perfect life; it’s about developing rhythms that point your children to Jesus. The church partners with the parents to make disciples. We partner with parents to reach and raise a generation for Christ. “O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds.” — Psalm 71:17 He is proclaiming the wondrous works of God today because of the investment in his life yesterday. Adults (including Seniors) Prayerfully consider getting actively involved in Family Ministry. Parents Develop rhythms in your home that point your kids to Jesus. Church Be committed to the next generation. Environments We want our environments to be clean, safe, and fun. “One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness. They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.” — Psalm 145:4-7
